John M. Guglielmo

Mr. Guglielmo is a seasoned trial attorney who has tried numerous cases to verdict. He brings with him over thirty years experience in the defense of complex personal injury and property damage claims. Mr. Guglielmo focuses his practice on the representation of property owners and contractors in construction related matters, where he puts his expertise in the area of New York Labor Law to use successfully defending his clients against multi-million-dollar claims. His practice also includes the defense of business owners and municipalities in premises liability claims. Mr. Guglielmo began his career as an Assistant District Attorney. Prior to joining Farber Brocks & Zane LLP, he was a managing and supervising attorney at Insurance Company Staff counsel offices as well Panel counsel law firms in New York City and Long Island where he was responsible for all aspects of the litigation process from inception through trial. He gained extensive insurance carrier corporate experience as the Western Regional Litigation Officer for a major mid-western insurer where he supervised 12 litigation offices across the western United States. Mr. Guglielmo received his undergraduate degree, Cum Laude, from Brooklyn College and his Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of New York, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and is a frequent lecturer on topics of interest within his areas of expertise.
